The Therapies - Holistic Massage 

Massage is a very healing and instinctive therapy that has been used for thousands of years. We instinctively know that it helps to rub a sore limb to alleviate the pain, or to stroke our temples if we have a headache.  

Relaxation

Massage can be a wonderful form of relaxation. It can be effective in lowering blood pressure whilst relieving headaches and other stress-related conditions. Massage also increases the release of ‘happy’ hormones, which helps to instil a great sense of well-being and calm during and after a treatment. 

Immune system

Studies show that continuous high levels of stress can make us more prone to illness and premature aging. Massage helps to reverse the negative effects of stress, by stimulating the body's own natural repair mechanisms and immune response. Maintaining a healthy immune system is fundamental to a healthy body and mind.  

Aches & pains

Mental and emotional tension can manifest as muscle tension and massage can be one of the most effective ways to ease this tension out of muscles. By stretching and relaxing the muscle fibres, massage can relieve tightness that deprives the muscle of vital nutrients and energy. Techniques aimed at stretching muscle fibres are effective in reducing cramp, increasing flexibility and even improving muscle tone.
