The Therapies - AromatherapyFor centuries many cultures have used plants as an aid to healing. By using essential oils derived from plants the Aromatherapist is able to help treat many conditions including:
Essential oils are normally blended with a base oil such as almond or grapeseed oil and then massaged onto the skin. They can be also be added to baths, mixed in creams and lotions and applied as hot or cold compresses. During your first appointment the Aromatherapist will carry out a detailed medical history and will also ask questions relating to your lifestyle such as sleep pattern, eating and drinking habits. This will enable them to ascertain the most suitable essential oils to be used during your massage and ensure that the blend of oils are specifically suited to your requirements. Please contact the Almond Tree Practice if you would like to book an Aromatherapy Massage. If you require further information regarding Aromatherapy please ask to speak to Paul Tilbury. |
